Vineyards This 100 acre Timber Crest Vineyard is located off Dry Creek Road on the valley floor. The soil composition of this vineyard is Yolo Sandy Loam. We have ¾ of an acre planted next to our Sauvignon Blanc here at Timber Crest Vineyard that our partner Randy Peters planted for us in 2008.
Winemaker’s Notes The goal of the winemaker was to make a serious style of Muscat Blanc that would be similar to the beautiful Alsace wines that would pair with spicy ethnic foods. It has a bit of residual sugar but it is integrated almost undetectably with the acidity of the wine making it a definite food wine. The aromatics of this wine are unmistakable and put you to mind of sitting in a field of flowers in the spring! The floral notes of the wine are integrated with notes of citrus, melon, and honeysuckle. The palate is equally impressive. There is a beautiful balance of acidity with a touch of sweetness that fills the palate and finishes clean. The finish lingers for a while and is the perfect match for the spice of Thai or Indian cuisine.
