Kratos Distillery Vodka (Russia)

Black Stallion Russian Vodka Production Technology

The technology used in the Black Stallion Russian Vodka production reflects the classic and traditional methods which have been utilized for centuries in the Lipetsk region of Russia at the Kratos distillery. The specific recipe used dates back more than 200 years.

Vodka is distilled from the finest grains grown on the Cossack countries most fertile plains. Through this vodka and the stallion silhouette, the symbol of the Cossack culture, the strength and spirit of Russia has been retained. The vodka is produced of high quality grain alcohol and water of specific composition.

The water required for the production of the vodka is acquired from the distilleries own well at the depth of 200 m. The water then is purified in three steps, which guarantees its most favorable chemical and biological composition.

After purification the water is mixed with the highest quality Luxe ethyl alcohol. To improve the organic characteristics of vodka the water and alcohol mixture is treated with activated carbon. The carbon adsorbs impurities and improves the quality of vodka. The treatment is conducted in the carbon-filtering device that is equipped with a preliminary filter with quartz sand of a particular fraction, a secondary carbon column and a final extra fine filter.

The vodka then goes through the fourth and final filtering process where any suspended particles are removed. The ready-made vodka is then transferred to the laboratory for a final quality check after which it is bottled on the Kroness (German manufactured) automatic line. The modern equipment used by the distillery makes the process of producing the genuine Russian drink technologically regulated, ecologically clean and economically profitable.

The final product is smooth and velvety in character with a rich natural taste, perfect for drinking neat and chilled or for use in mixed drinks.
